Where are the Canadian banks?
no graphics but the data says, roughly, in the same period the market cap declines of canadian banks were:
-scotiabank 38%
-bank of montreal 55%
-royal bank 38%
-TD 37%
-CIBC 52%
which means that the worst canadian declines are about 10% worse than the best-performing of these global banks, but significantly better than the rest; the best performing canadian banks are about 12% better than the best of the big internationals in this graphic.
