@blork, not sure what i think about the manifesto, but focusing & finishing things is something many of us struggle with, more so in the hyper-distracted world of the web.

@zura: get back to work. stop wasting time on this blog.

@christine: you too. back to work.

Great list. :) Personally, I need to refer to this manifesto more often.

Eww! Is that a parody, or a satirical lament? I hope so, because that is not a manifesto I want to support! I'm a firm believer in doing things WELL and doing them RIGHT. Followers of that "Cult of Done" manifesto will leave behind a lot of half-assed, half-baked crap that nobody cares about.

It's bad enough that our attention spans are reduced to milliseconds, but the idea of championing the same kind of all-noise, no-signal approach to DOING THINGS really bugs me. The result will be a sea of buggy software, crappy interface designs, terribly written blog posts/software specs/etc., shoddy configurations, and other forms of lameness.

Heck, that way of thinking is OK for the minor quotidian things, like mowing the lawn or doing the dishes, but for the big stuff -- the important things -- no way.

Call me old fashioned, but I'll stick with the manifesto of excellence any day!
